Wald's design philosophy is to always work in harmony with the original design concept by redefining body lines to create a more aggressive and dynamic appearance. Founded in 1990 as Sauber, Wald started in the wholesale for Mercedes-Benz and Europrean tuning parts. As their client list grew, so did requests from their clients for parts that would better suit the luxury life style design. In 1994, Wald's Japanese division was formed to design their own original brand of products to suit their clients' luxury automotive needs with both European and Japanese cars, with an emphasis in Mercedes-Benz and Lexus.
Business was so successful and demands were so high, Wald began building complete cars fitted with Wald customizations from the interior upholstery to the engine bay to the exterior body panels and lastly, to the wheels, with Wald's own line of luxury and VIP wheels.
